Suspense crime, Digital Desk : An Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Member of Parliament, Ashok Kumar Mittal, noted that India has made it clear to world that it supports peace, but will not hesitate to take strong steps if any threats are made against its sovereignty. Mittal was on a parliamentary tour with DMK MP Kanimozhi to five countries for diplomatic meetings.

During his interactions with the Press, he discussed the policy of India, of peaceful coexistence and unity and also spoke about the ancient Indian philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam which means the world is one family. But he made it clear that India also has to decisively react to any adverse actions like terrorism and destabilization of the nation.

“When our people were killed in the Pahalgam terror attack, we responded with Operation Sindoor on May 7. With minimal collateral damage, 9 terror camps were dismantled using precise surgical methods,” he remarked.

Addressing the issue of nuclear blackmail, he argued that India is perfectly capable of defending its territory from such threats and if need be, at their origin.

“A war will never be started by India, but it will not compromise on its security. This isn't just for us, this is for the entire world,” he stated. He further mentioned that world leaders and institutions have come forward and intend to discuss the matter on an international platform.

Terrorism is something that grows uncontrollably like a disease, and the world needs to treat it like a serious critical issue, said RJD MP Prem Chand Gupta, who was a part of the tour.

Gupta remarked that, “The visit was centered on engaging with think tanks, has met, parliamentarians, government officials and the media. We underscored India's challenge concerning cross-border terrorism and highlighted the necessity for global collaboration.”

This was reported in the Indian Express and describes a multi-party visit. BJP and Samajwadi Party were present alongside Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, while Manjeev Singh Puri and Jawed Ashraf also were part of the mission.

Their key focus was on India’s counter terror responses post the Pahalgam attack on April 22 alongside enhancing worldwide cooperation against terrorism.
