Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Before Putin’s visit to India for the annual India-Russia summit, India and Russia have ramped their strategies towards cooperation in critical and emerging technologies. Economic Times suggests that the conversations have progressed to include collaboration in nuclear energy, cybersecurity работы, and joint advanced technology initiatives.

Redefining the Cyber and Nuclear Boundaries

According to reports, the two countries accelerated their negotiations after Operation Sindoor. India is advancing its cyber defense systems as one of its base national liability principles.

The report states that Rosatom, which built the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant, is in discussion with the government of Maharashtra regarding the development of thorium fueled Small Modular Reactors (SMRs).

Cybersecurity: National Breach Prevention Strategies

A top priority of the Indo-Russian relations is Cybersecurity. Technological and other specialists from Russia are said to be working to create specialized cyber defense systems with their Indian counterparts, which include domain-specific firewalls and other software. These solutions will be provided on a not-for-profit basis, but they will be sold in international and local markets.

Collaboration on Innovations within High-Tech Sectors

Russian and Indian authorities are laying the groundwork for synergy across different areas of advanced technologies, such as:

Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Space Technologies

Semiconductors

Strategic minerals

These initiatives will be developed under the so-called partnership “BrahMos” co-development model that stresses primary innovation with capability creation and investment for sustained development.

Cross-Industry Integration within Russia and India

Further Progress on the Initiative

Inviting India to take part in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is an important milestone in collaboration; India will be represented by a NITI Aayog delegation, which is likely to participate in an Indo-Russian science and technology cooperation roundtable.
