As part of international diplomacy, India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) announced on Thursday that all Indian visas issued to Pakistani nationals will be nullified starting April 27, 2025. This decision comes in connection with the Cabinet Committee on Security’s (CCS) instructions after the Pahalgam terror attack.
Advisory and Exceptions for Nationals
Though medical visas will expire on April 29, the MEA has instructed all Pakistani nationals currently in India to exit the country before their visa invalidation date. Furthermore, Indian citizens are advised against traveling to Pakistan, but if they do, they should return to India swiftly.
Increased Security around Kashmir
Security forces conducted operations throughout Kashmir. Shooting was recorded around 3 p.m. on Tuesday in Baisaran valley, a well-known tourist site. The incident took place when armed militants drove into the hills and opened fire on tourists. Those injured were subsequently airlifted following treatment.
