Suspense crime, Digital Desk : India Post has released the fourth supplementary merit list for its Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) recruitment drive. This list is for the Schedule-II vacancies from July 2023, which aimed to fill a total of 30,041 positions for GDS, Branch Postmasters (BPM), and Assistant Branch Postmasters (ABPM).

Candidates who had applied for these positions can now check if they have been shortlisted by visiting the official website, indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.

Those who find their names on the new list must complete the next crucial step: Document Verification (DV). Shortlisted applicants are required to report to the Divisional Head office mentioned next to their name in the results PDF for this process. The deadline to complete the document verification is June 21, 2024. This is a mandatory step for securing the position.

How to Check the GDS 4th Merit List:

  1. Visit the official India Post GDS recruitment portal: indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.
  2. On the homepage, navigate to the "Shortlisted Candidates" tab.
  3. A drop-down menu will appear. Select your respective state or postal circle.
  4. Click on "Supplementary List-IV" to download the PDF file for your region.
  5. Open the PDF and search for your name or registration number to see if you have been selected.

The selection for these government posts is based purely on merit, determined by the marks obtained in the Class 10 secondary school examination, with no additional written test required.
