Suspense crime, Digital Desk : In response, India conducted airstrikes mere hours after Pakistan drone-attacked 26 locations in India on Friday. These drone attacks followed a significant surge the day prior when Pakistan launched hundreds of drones towards 36 locations, most of which were intercepted by India.
On Friday, drone attacks struck and descended upon Baramulla, Srinagar, Avantipora, Jaisalmer, Barmer, and Bhuj. India cyberstruck intel posts in Pakistan by striking distinct sites such as Nur Khan Air Base in Rawalpindi, military posts in Sialkot, and Narowal.
Timeline of Events
Thursday: Pakistan deployed 300-400 armed drones headed towards India. They aimed for 36 locations, but most were thwarted.
Friday: Pakistan initiated another round of drone strikes targeting 26 Indian sites, some of which included strategic air bases. India’s air defenses neutralized countless drones.
Pakistan fired a Fateh 2 missile aimed at Delhi which was intercepted over Sirsa in Haryana.
Combat moved to a number of other locations along the LoC where Pakistan was attacking civilians.
Civilians were killed in Rajouri, Mendhar, and RS Pura. In all, five fatalities occurred alongside a high-ranking J&K official.
Parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, Punjab, Gujarat, and Haryana declared blackouts as a precaution.

On Saturday morning, India executed a “counter offensive” action that was justified to be “appropriate and proportionate” at the same time. Indian Air Force struck four Pakistani air force bases using air to surface missiles. These included:

Two Pakistani fighter jets were also neutralized by India’s Indian air force. One was shot down Lasjan near srinagar and the second one was shot down in North kashmir.
In light of the growing tensions Islamabad blocked its air space till noon on saturday. A Peshawar flight was made to spin in circles above Quetta as a result.
Background: What Triggered the Conflict?
April 22 saw increased violence following the Pahalgam attack where 26 people, mostly civilians were slaughtered. In response Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi pledged to avenge the attackers and their supporters.
Operation Sindoor was also launched simultaneously with the nine terrorist bases in Pakistan as wll as Pakistan occupied Kashmir.
