India Launches Operation Sindoor: Coordinated Military Strikes Target Terror Camps in Pakistan and PoK:

Suspense crime, Digital Desk : On May 7, 2025, India initiated a synchronized operation by its Army, Navy, and Air Force called “Operation Sindoor”. The operation is reported to have stricken nine terror sites within Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) regions. This action was in retaliation to the terrorist attack of April 22 in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir where around 26 civilians, predominantly tourists, lost their lives.

This is the first tri-service operation of this level for India since the 1971 war with Pakistan during which both countries engaged in combat. Officials have characterized the operation as “surgical,” “non-escalatory,” with the goal of merely “destroying the terror infrastructure.”

Dominate Conflict Targets Set Targets of Focusing Sindoor Operaton on Confirmed Terror";

Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) – Four of the major facilities included the Markaz Subhan Allah in Bahawalpur are focused on the JeM.

Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) – Three of these sites are precisely the Markaz-e-Taiba in Muridke.

Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) – Situated in Kotli and Sialkot, there are two camps.

Snippets of intelligence suggest that increased activities, including planning attacks and training sessions in the affected areas post Pahalgam incident, were conducted over these sites.

International Coordination and Top-Level Supervision;

From his New Delhi Situation room, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was overseeing the mission live. As he coordinated with high ranking military officials, the national security advisor stayed on the line with US NSA Marco Rubio. With every step of the operation, US Secretary of State was also updated along the way.Public Panic and Civilian Reactions

The explosions in the nearby areas of the targeted sites created a shock wave in the Pakistani cities which was visible in the footage captured near Bahawalpur, Muridke, and Kotli. Videos showed people panicking and ambulances along with rescue vehicles were seen coming to help.

The blast at the heavily populated area off the street caused one video which went viral to come into existence. The fear was so high that people emotionally abandoned their cars.

Mission Outcome and Impact

All targets set by Defense officials were bound to capture and confirm using drones, airstrikes, and naval intelligence assets as confirmed by the officials. The facilities do possess arms stockpiles as validated through secondary explosions. The collateral damage was kept to a minimum with no confirmed civilian or military strikes suffering damage during the operation.
