Suspense crime, Digital Desk : A Thai pop star who miraculously survived a deadly plane crash 27 years ago has shared a chilling coincidence that connects his own ordeal to the recent Air India tragedy in Ahmedabad. Ruangsak James Loychusak was left stunned after learning that the sole survivor of the crash was sitting in the exact same seat he occupied during his own brush with death in 1998: seat 11A.

In December 1998, Loychusak, now 47, was a passenger on Thai Airways flight TG261. The plane stalled and tragically plunged into a swamp during its landing attempt in Surat Thani, claiming the lives of 101 people. Loychusak was one of the very few pulled from the wreckage alive.

The news of the recent Air India flight, a Boeing 787 Dreamliner bound for London that crashed shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad, immediately caught his attention. But it was the detail about the lone survivor, Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, that struck him with profound shock.

Taking to Facebook to share his astonishment, Ruangsak wrote, "Survivor of a plane crash in India. He sat in the same seat as me. 11A." In an interview with Mail Online, he admitted the uncanny parallel gave him "goosebumps." Although he no longer has his original ticket, he said newspaper reports from the time documented his seat number.

The incident has resurfaced deep-seated trauma for the singer. "I had difficulty flying for 10 years after the crash," he recalled. "I would struggle breathing... I avoided speaking to anyone and always stared outside the window." He shared that the sensory details of the crash—the sounds, smells, and even the taste of the swamp water—have remained with him throughout his "second life."

Meanwhile, Vishwash Kumar Ramesh is beginning his own recovery after the horrific event that killed 241 people, including former Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani. Recounting the crash to DD News, Ramesh said it happened within seconds of takeoff. “It felt like the plane got stuck. Then suddenly, the lights came on, and right after that, it accelerated — and then it crashed,” he explained, adding that he escaped through a broken door near his seat.

As Prime Minister Narendra Modi meets with Ramesh in Ahmedabad, two lives, two tragedies, and two miraculous tales of survival are now forever linked by the improbable, and perhaps fateful, coincidence of seat 11A.
