CM Nayab Singh Saini Suspends ASI and SDO, Orders Vigilance Probe Over Grievances
Demonstrating zero tolerance for administrative negligence and administrative high-handedness, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini cracked down hard during a public grievances redressal meeting in Sirsa on Thursday. Addressing numerous public complaints face-to-face, the Chief Minister took immediate punitive measures, suspending erring police and power utility officials on the spot, while ordering high-level vigilance inquiries into land fraud and housing plot irregularities to ensure immediate justice for aggrieved citizens.
Police and Power Officials Suspended Over Minor Compromise and Tubewell Disconnection
The high-stakes grievances meeting took a decisive turn when Kailash Kaur, a local resident, approached the Chief Minister with a grave complaint regarding a physical altercation involving her minor child. Taking strict note of police misconduct, CM Saini immediately suspended Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Rajesh attached to the Rania police station for coercing the minor into a forced compromise. In a parallel administrative action targeting the power sector, the Chief Minister ordered the suspension of an Electricity Corporation SDO and issued a chargesheet against a Junior Engineer (JE) for improperly issuing a tubewell connection without adequate document verification, alongside ordering a comprehensive departmental probe.
Vigilance Probe Ordered Into Jhoothikheda Land Fraud and Sector 21 Allotment Issues
Expanding the scope of accountability, the Chief Minister directed a thorough Vigilance Department investigation into a fraudulent property registration case reported in Jhoothikheda village. Furthermore, acting on a formal grievance filed by Vijay Kumar concerning a stalled property allotment in Sector 21 where the consumer was denied possession despite clearing all installment payments, CM Saini ordered an immediate inquiry to penalize responsible officials and safeguard citizen rights.
