Shri Maurya stated that the birth centenary year of Ashok Singhal is commencing today. Paying respectful tribute to him, he noted that Singhal was a prominent leader of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement and played a pivotal role in awakening the devotees of Lord Ram and Hindu society at large.
He remarked that the magnificent Shri Ram temple at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi site stands today as a result of Ashok Singhal's contributions and the long struggle waged by the devotees of Lord Ram. Singhal worked extensively to foster awakening, a sense of patriotism, and devotion to Lord Ram within Hindu society. Shri Maurya added that it is a matter of pride for all to honor him and recall his contributions on the occasion of his birth centenary.
