Global markets are opening up for Uttar Pradesh due to Prime Minister Modi's global policy: Keshav Prasad Maurya
Approximately 50 stalls featuring entrepreneurs who have benefited from the Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) scheme and the Uttar Pradesh Food Processing Industry Policy-2023 (UPFPP-2023) have been set up at the Uttar Pradesh pavilion. The Deputy Chief Minister stated that the 'double-engine' government has prioritized security, good governance, time-bound schemes, and an ease-of-doing-business environment in the state. Today, investors and traders in Uttar Pradesh feel secure while conducting business. The government’s policy is clear: a guarantee of security for entrepreneurs, a guarantee of facilitation for investments, and a guarantee of incentives for trade. This very environment is laying a strong foundation for transforming Uttar Pradesh into 'Uttam Pradesh' (an exemplary state).
**International Market for 'Shri Anna' (Millets) and Other Food Products**
Additionally, Komalika FPC has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Romania and Vietnam regarding 'Shri Anna'-based products. Trade agreements have also been executed by Anubhi Enterprises with Vietnam and by Amrit Agro regarding the export of honey. Through these agreements, new business opportunities are emerging in international markets for the state's 'Shri Anna', honey, mango pulp, jaggery, and other value-added food products.
**Demand for BMS FPO's Mango Pulp at the FIEO Desk**
At the International Trade Show, a foreign buyer has expressed interest in the mango pulp produced by BMS FPO at the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) desk. This represents a significant opportunity for the state's mango-based processed products to access international markets. Boosting Export Potential through B2B Meetings
At the International Trade Show, Business-to-Business (B2B) meetings and buyer-seller interactions are being organized to connect entrepreneurs—beneficiaries of the PMFME scheme and UPFPP-2023—with foreign buyers, importers, distributors, and trade entities.
Through these meetings, entrepreneurs from the state are gaining the opportunity to directly connect with new markets, potential buyers, and export prospects for their products.
The participation of the state's food processing entrepreneurs in the International Trade Show, along with trade agreements signed with various countries, represents a significant step towards integrating Uttar Pradesh's food processing products into the global market. This initiative is expected to foster value addition, market expansion, export promotion, and business opportunities for farmers, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs), Self-Help Groups (SHGs), and food processing entrepreneurs.
