Suspense crime, Digital Desk : The Gurdaspur District Administration has announced a nightly blackout from 9 PM to 5 AM indefinitely. This comes after there were heightened security apprehensions along the Indo-Pak border following the Indian military incursion into Pakistani and Pakistani-occupied Kashmir terror bases, dubbed Sindoor Sangram.
Stricture of Lighting During the Blackout Periods
As per the guidelines issued, illumination is entirely disallowed throughout the district for the duration of blackout hours minus medical facilities and detention centers. Even these establishments must ensure all windows are completely screened so that no light is visible from outside.
Sindoor Operation Induced Immediate Caution
This is one of the several preparatory actions taken by border officials anticipating backlash coming from the neighbouring nation. Officials maintain that though the measure has been described as shortsighted, all explainations were made in the interest of operational security and the safety of civilians.
