There is great news for the people of Delhi-NCR. Before Raksha Bandhan, today i.e. on 18th August at 2 pm, Rapid Rail, Namo Bharat Train will start running from Ghaziabad to Meerut. National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has given this information. The corporation said that now passengers will get a lot of convenience from Meerut South RRTS station on Sunday, they will be able to travel easily from NCR to Meerut. Now the journey of 42 kilometers will become easy.
In a statement on Saturday, the NCRTC said that 42 km of the 82 km long Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) will be operational from 2 pm on Sunday. Officials say that the opening of these eight stretches will provide great relief to passengers.
Know how much the fare will be
The fare for a standard coach from Sahibabad to Meerut South will be Rs 110 while the fare for the premium coach will be Rs 220.
After Modinagar North, the next stop will be Meerut South. A total of 42 km of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor will be operational, which includes nine stations from Sahibabad in Ghaziabad to Meerut South.
There will be 25 stations in the entire section of the corridor between Delhi and Meerut. NCRTC aims to complete the work between Delhi and Meerut by June 2025.
Trains were already running at 8 stations in the 34 km section.
9 stations will be included from Modinagar North to Meerut South. The scope of this stretch will increase by another 8 kilometers.
Still waiting for Namo Bharat’s entry into Noida
There is a proposal to take Namo Bharat from Ghaziabad to Greater Noida West, although it has not yet received approval from the government. Let us tell you that the first such track will be built in Noida on which both Metro and Rapid Rail will run simultaneously. Its route has been finalized.
