Krishna D.K. and Raj Nidimoru are born to Telugu parents who hail from Tirupati and Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh. They first met in the engineering college, SVU College of Engineering. After completing their bachelor’s degree, they relocated to the USA to pursue a career as software engineers.

Raj & DK is one of the most famous directors in the Indian film industry and the duo is comprised of Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D. K. Both hail from the state of Andhra Pradesh, Krishna D. K. from Chittoor and Raj from Tirupati, and they met while studying engineering at Sri Venkateswara University.
After completing their education, they worked as software engineers who later transitioned into filmmaking in the USA. Their directorial career was launched by Flavors (2003) which adressed the life of Indian migrants. As their debut Hindi film, “99” (2009), a crime-comedy filmed in Delhi and Mumbai, received a lot of praise for its ingenious plot.
In 2011, they further solidified their credibility in the industry by directing “Shor in the City” which was well-known for its captivating storyline and dark humor. They kept changing the game with Go Goa Gone (2013), India’s first zombie comedy which has amassed a cult following.
Their shift into streaming platforms had them create The Family Man (2019-ongoing) a thriller series featuring social and political commentary. Following the success of the show, they produced the crime drama Farzi (2023-ongoing) and dark comedy “Guns and Gulaabs” (2023) centered around four men enmeshed in crime and romance. In 2021, to promote independent cinema, they created D2R Indie, a branch of their production company.
Telugu film “Cinema Bandi” (2021) was the first project under this column, and both audiences and critics praised it. Moreover, Raj & DK have agreed to the Indian part of the Russo Brothers’ global series, “Citadel,” which is expected to go on floors in 2022. They have also signed a multi-year deal with Netflix, which showcases their continuing presence and influence in the ever-changing landscape of the Indian film industry.

For the unversed, Samantha is the owner of the Chennai Super Champs pickleball team. One photo shows Samantha with what seems to be Raj’s hand, which adds to the dating speculation.
The actress was once again linked to director Raj Nidimoru after they were spotted together on a recent trip with friends. Their alleged relationship was brought back to life when a photo from the trip went viral on social media.
