If you've got a traffic challan from the Delhi Police collecting dust-whether it's from being caught on the road or from a speed camera-you're in luck. A special opportunity is coming up to get it cleared, and you might even have to pay less.
Delhi Traffic Police, in collaboration with the Delhi State Legal Services Authority, is organizing a National Lok Adalat this Saturday, September 13, 2025. This is a one-day event designed to help people settle their pending traffic fines quickly and efficiently, clearing a massive backlog of cases.
But here’s the most important part: You can't just walk in.
To participate, you have to download a special e-slip from the Delhi Traffic Police website. This is the only way to get a spot.
Here’s the catch: The download link for these e-slips will go live only for a very short period. It will be activated on September 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM and will stay open only until the limited number of slips are all claimed. And they go fast-often within minutes.
Here’s your plan:
Be ready on the Delhi Traffic Police website before 10 AM on September 11.
As soon as the link appears, click it and follow the instructions to download your challan slip. The slip will mention the specific court and bench number you need to go to.
On September 13, take a printout of that slip and visit the assigned court to get your fine settled by the magistrate.
This is a "first-come, first-served" system, and the number of challans that can be settled is limited. So, if you want to clear your name and your fine, make sure you're ready to act fast on Thursday morning.
