Google is soon going to officially roll out the next version of its Android mobile operating system, Android 15. This new mobile operating system of Google will come with many upgrades as compared to the current Android 14. Apart from this, a security feature of the iPhone is also going to be available in the new version. This security feature has been seen in Google’s recent Android 15 QRR1 Beta 2 version.
Additional security layer
According to the report of Android Authority, this security feature will completely prevent theft of your data. Suppose someone steals your smartphone and even finds out the password of your phone, then also the data will not be stolen from your phone. Google will get an additional security layer in its Android 15 operating system just like the iPhone. Users will be able to enable biometric locks to protect their data.
This feature of Android devices will also be like Apple Stolen Device Protection of iPhone. The coding string of this upcoming feature is ‘mandatory_biometrics_prompt_description’, which means Identity Check is On. For Android phones, this string triggers biometric unlock. However, this feature is still in the early development phase. In such a situation, the company has not yet confirmed when this feature will be rolled out.
Android users benefit
Apart from this, Google is also working on the Trusted Places Feature for its Android operating system. This feature of Google will unlock the user’s device at the place that it has marked as a trusted location. After this security feature comes to Android, it may be difficult for thieves to steal data from the phone. Not only this, but even after knowing the lock code of the phone, additional biometrics will be required to unlock the device. Crores of users around the world can get the benefit of this upcoming feature.
