Paving The Way For Sovereign AI
Key initiatives of the project will be an attempt to build what is called 'sovereign AI,' meaning the model's foundational structure and the data powering it would sit within the geographical confines of India. This effort responds directly to the increasing issues of privacy, security, and reliance on digital services from international technology companies. With this in mind, Gnani.ai can counter these challenges by positioning themselves as a trusted and safe AI alternative for Indian businesses.
Gnani.ai co-founder and CEO Ganesh Gopalan has highlighted the value of this initiative pointing out that the funding access grants the government aid computes model development efforts and that makes a considerable difference for fostering domestic model development.
What Makes Gnagni.ai's Model Unique?
With the entire world using models such as GPT-4, Gnani.ai is in the process of building an LLM with features carved out distinctly for the Indian context.
The Role of The IndiaAI Mission
The IndiaAI Mission, with its whopping funding of Rs 10,372 crore, intends to foster a vibrant AI ecosystem in the country.
