Suspense crime, Digital Desk : The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Delhi is facing a fresh political and legal storm as the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) has filed a case against two of its prominent leaders: Health Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj and his predecessor, Satyendar Jain, in connection with an alleged corruption case related to government hospitals.

The First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged based on allegations of significant irregularities in the procurement of medical equipment and the recruitment of staff for various Delhi government-run hospitals. The probe will examine claims of procedural lapses and potential financial misconduct in these processes.

The case is particularly significant as it targets both the current and former health ministers. Saurabh Bharadwaj currently holds the health portfolio. Satyendar Jain, who held the position before him, is already in judicial custody in connection with a separate money laundering case. This new FIR adds another layer to his existing legal troubles.

The Aam Aadmi Party is expected to strongly contest the allegations, framing them as another instance of a politically motivated "witch-hunt." The party has consistently accused the BJP-led central government of using federal and local agencies to target and harass its leaders.

The filing of the FIR marks the official start of a police investigation. The ACB will now summon individuals for questioning and gather evidence, setting the stage for another intense political and legal confrontation in the national capital.
