Mumbai Police verified on Tuesday that a 35-year-old Punjab resident was taken into custody for placing a hoax call stating that he intended to kill Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff. According to prosecutors, Shubinder Singh contacted the police control room stating that there was an intention to kill Shroff.
A police official from Khar reported that Singh made allegations that a gun, along with a contract of Rs 2 lakh, had been provided to certain persons to execute the murder. While “claiming” the police did make “investigations”, Singh’s information was totally absurd.
Claimed People Were Killing Shroff
He shared the infamous claim on Monday that members from some security agency were intending to murder Shroff. Mumbai police started conducting their own investigations based on the claims.
After thorough investigations, the police found no evidence or leads to support the claim. Hoaxers such as these should be fined for bothering the already overworked police officials. Singh has had a case registered against him from Khar police station in the Mumbai suburbs.
To Be Sent To Mumbai
In Assam, in partnership with their colleagues from Punjab, the police made adjustments to escort Singh. According to the police, steps will be taken to transfer Singh to Mumbai for the continuation of these processes.
Other Bollywood Stars Also Faced Threats
This event comes in the wake of other threats of a similar nature of Bollywood stars. Another leading actor, Salman Khan, has for years received continuous threats from a host of people. Not long ago, a WhatsApp threat was received by the Mumbai Traffic police from Vadodara district f Gujarat, allegedly sent by a person of unsound mind.
