Zeenat Aman advises living in a live-in relationship, having been unsuccessful in love herself

Post

Suspense Crime, Digital Desk : Veteran Bollywood actress Zeenat Aman has always been bold and open about her views. Recently, she expressed her support for live-in relationships and explained why they are important.

Why is there a relationship

Zeenat Aman has reiterated her support for live-in relationships. She said they are more important than ever in today's times and crucial to understanding compatibility before marriage. Her comments come after her previous Instagram post advising couples to live together before marriage drew criticism from veteran actor Saira Banu.

Zeenat's opinion on live-in relationships

In an interview, Zeenat said, “Nothing lasts forever, in today's times, and never has. Before making a legal commitment, you should make sure you both are compatible. That's my opinion. You need to know if you're mentally and emotionally compatible.”

She continued, "If you're thinking of having children, how will you raise them? What are your financial thoughts? If there's no compatibility, what's the point? Wouldn't you rather spend five years happily than fifteen unhappy? That's what I believe."

Zeenat's post received criticism

In her previous Instagram post on live-in relationships, Zeenat explained why she supports living together before marriage. She wrote, "In the comments section of my last post, one of you asked me for relationship advice. Here's a personal opinion I've never shared before: If you're in a relationship, my advice is to live together before getting married."

Zeenat Aman's personal life

Zeenat Aman's love life was as dramatic as her films, featuring intense romance, heartbreak, and the courage to overcome adversity. Dev Anand made Zeenat Aman a superstar by casting her in "Hare Rama Hare Krishna" (1971). In his autobiography, Dev Anand admitted that he fell deeply in love with Zeenat and planned a romantic dinner at the Taj Hotel to propose to her.

However, he was never able to propose to her. He was heartbroken when he saw filmmaker Raj Kapoor passionately kissing Zeenat at a film premiere; he realized that she did not have the same feelings for him.

Victim of domestic violence in marriage

In the late 1970s, Zeenat entered into a relationship with actor Sanjay Khan and secretly married him, but the relationship soon turned violent. It ended after a highly publicized and brutal fight in a Mumbai hotel, in which she was severely physically assaulted and permanently damaged one of her eyes.

She then married actor and businessman Mazhar Khan in 1985. They had two sons, Azaan and Jahan. The marriage was marked by emotional and physical abuse, as well as allegations of infidelity. Despite the detrimental effects on her mental health, Zeenat remained in the marriage for over a decade, partly for the sake of her children and partly because Mazhar suffered from a serious kidney disease, and Zeenat cared for him. Eventually, they divorced.

Zeenat's work front

On the work front, Zeenat Aman was last seen in the Netflix series The Royals, co-starring Ishaan Khatter and Bhumi Pednekar.
