"I Have Nothing to Do With It": Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub Breaks Silence on Ajay Devgn's 'Chauhaan' Teaser Controversy

Post

Actor Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub has finally cleared the air surrounding the massive controversy sparked by the teaser of Ajay Devgn's upcoming film, Chauhaan. The teaser, which dropped a few weeks ago, immediately grabbed headlines not just for its high-octane action, but primarily because viewers instantly recognized versatile actor Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub's distinctive voice opening the clip. However, following backlash and brewing disputes—including strong displeasure and warnings from the Kshatriya community—the Raanjhanaa actor has stepped forward to distance himself completely from the project.

Zeeshan Ayyub Clarifies His Stance on Social Media

Taking to his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub issued a detailed statement addressing how his voice ended up in the promotional video. The actor revealed that he has no professional or personal association with the movie and was caught off guard by how his voice work was utilized.

In his official statement, Zeeshan explained, "A few weeks ago, a film teaser released with the opening line in my voice. I wish to put on record that I am not part of the film in any capacity. I was asked to dub a line without any reference a few months back. I did that in good faith without asking for more as I knew the filmmakers personally."

"Misused and Inappropriate": Voice Removed After Strong Objections

Elaborating further on the incident, the acclaimed actor expressed disappointment over how his goodwill was handled. He noted that as soon as the teaser went live and he saw how his isolated dubbing session was woven into the promotional material, he realized his voice had been used inappropriately.

Zeeshan immediately confronted the creators, stating, "I asked the filmmakers to remove my voice from the teaser. After my strong objection, the filmmakers removed my voice from the teaser fifteen days ago. However, this will make my position as an artist clear that I will never be a part of any such project." By openly sharing the truth, the actor has successfully drawn a strict line, assuring fans and critics alike that his artistic integrity remains uncompromised.

Controversy Surrounding Ajay Devgn's 'Chauhaan'

Ajay Devgn's ambitious project Chauhaan has found itself tangled in rough waters right from its initial promotional phase. Apart from the voice-dubbing goof-up involving Zeeshan Ayyub, the teaser also triggered friction with the Kshatriya community, who expressed deep displeasure and issued warnings to the makers over certain thematic representations. Despite these early roadblocks, the film continues to generate immense curiosity among cinephiles. While an official theatrical release date is yet to be locked in by the makers, industry speculations suggest that Chauhaan is slated to hit the silver screen sometime in 2027.
