Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Enforcement Directorate (ED) has suspected a case of money laundering and financial malpractice in the investigation of gold smuggling of Ranya Rao which has prompted the agency to conduct further analysis into her case. The agency has performed 16 raids across the state of Karnataka as part of the investigation for Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) that they are pursuing.
Political Links: Home Minister Parameshwara Under Scanner
The ED investigation has allegedly established a financial trail connecting actor Ranya Rao and Home Minister of Karnataka G Parameshwara which enabled them to perform the raids. One such payment of Rs 40 lakh towards Rao’s credit card was discovered at a trust that Parameshwara is believed to be controlling. They did not provide any proof for this payment and the ED, in its reasoning, claimed the outpayment came from an account operated in fiduciary form waiting for orders from a politically exposed person.

The Congress party, as a response to the enforcement actions of political vendetta, gave the Indian National Congress a strong politically motivated enforcement.
