After the rape and murder of a female trainee doctor in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal, doctors protested across the country. Meanwhile, news has come from Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, that doctors of Bhopal AIIMS and junior doctors of Government Medical College will go on strike today i.e. on 13th August. According to the information received, OPD, OT, ward duty, lab services, and classes will remain closed for an indefinite period. According to the information, only emergency facilities will remain available for patients.

A female trainee doctor was raped and murdered in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal. In protest against this, doctors went on strike across the country today. Doctors are not satisfied with the police investigation
Even after the police arrested the main accused, the doctors were not satisfied with the police investigation. The doctors say that by arresting one accused, a big conspiracy is being suppressed. The doctors are demanding a CBI inquiry and a fast-track court in the case.
Demand for CBI investigation
Meanwhile, Bengal BJP president Sukanto Majumdar wrote a letter to the Union Health Minister demanding a CBI inquiry into the matter. Along with this, he has also requested to send a team of the Medical Council of India to visit all the medical colleges in Bengal.
