For 3 days this week, the national capital of India, Delhi, will experience an intense heatwave. This has prompted the meteorological department to issue a yellow alert. Nevertheless, there will be a change in the conditions because of a western disturbance. Accompanying the cloud movement, strong winds will blow as well. The wind speeds may reach 40 kilometers per hour. In addition to the western disturbance's effects, there is likely to be a minor decrease in the temperature in the NCR region of Delhi.

The weather department is predicting clear weather on April 15, along with winds at 20 to 30 kmph. The temperature is also expected to reach it’s peak at 37 to 39 degrees, and 22 to 24 degrees for the minimum. As for the day, the IMD expects a heat wave around Delhi starting from the 16th. Therefore the weather department issues a yellow alert for the 16th, 17th and 18th.

Simultaneously, the meteorological department expects an incline in the temperatures by April 16th. This will result in a range of 39 to 41 degrees for the max temperature and 23 to 25 for the minimum on the 16th. Following that, the 17th and 18th will be around 40 to 42 as the max temperature and 23 to 25 as the minimum.

Delhi NCR is expecting weather changes from April 18. On that date, the sky will be partly cloudy with winds blowing strongly between 20 to 30 kilometers per hour. The Meteorological Department states that winds with greater force will set in on the second day, April 19, too, when strong winds will blow (in Delhi the wind will reach 20 to 30 kms/hr).
On both days wind speed at some times may even reach 40km’s per hour. The meteorological department now hopes to find the maximum temperature in Delhi on 19th April to be 39 to 41 degrees and minimum 24 to 26 degree Celsius. Predicted for 20th April: maximum temperature in Delhi would be 38 to 40 degrees, minimum would be 23 to 25 degree Celsius.
