Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Some regions of Delhi-NCR experienced light showers on the evening of May 13. The rainfall slightly reduced the temperature, providing a respite from the ongoing heat. Further rainfall has now been forecasted for May 14 as per the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).
Orange Alert Issued for Delhi-NCR
On Tuesday, the IMD issued an orange alert warning for the Delhi-NCR region. The warning includes the possibility of light rainfall with thunderstorms and high-velocity winds ranging from 30 to 50 km/h. This alert was issued based on observations at 4 PM on May 13.
Severe Storms Predicted in A Number of States
As per IMD updates, a number of parts in the country are likely to be affected with stormy weather. Rain is anticipated in Delhi in addition to Assam and Meghalaya, while the areas around Western Ghats will experience high-velocity winds and thunderstorms. IMD anticipates heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in certain regions of Assam and Meghalaya.

There is also severe rain predicted in the adjoining regions of Delhi. Waterlogging is highly anticipated in low-lying areas including major traffic disruptions. The IMD has advised the public to remain alert while suggesting that evening travel could be impacted by weather changes.
Alerts for Rajasthan, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, And Telangana
Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued weather alerts for adjoining regions of the Rajasthan, Odisha and Chhattisgarh. These areas face the threat of wind gusts of 60 kilometers per hour. Along with this, hailstorms are possible in Telangana as well.
