On Monday, a Delhi court ordered Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit to share information for documents pertinent to his defamation claim against Aam Aadmi Party members Atishi and Sanjay Singh.
In addition, the respondents were ordered by additional chief judicial magistrate Paras Dalal to be supplied a copy of the pen drive said to contain the defamatory statements.
Dikshit contends that during a press conference on December 26, 2022, former Chief Minister Atishi and AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh claimed that he drugged the BJP with multi-crores and the congress were in cahoots with the saffron party to destroy AAP.
In court, AAP claimed that these statements by the two AAP leaders were made with the intent of “purposefully inflicting damage to goodwill” of the Congress Dikshit. On January 16, the court ordered Atiish and Singh to respond to the notice based on the complaint issued by the defendant.
The hearing will occur on March 12 of the current year.
