Delhi court grants interim relief to Haryanvi singer Sapna Choudhary, bars husband from doing this

Suspense Crime, Digital Desk : Haryanvi singer and actress feared that her husband would arrive at her upcoming film premiere 'Momaku' and either assault, create a ruckus, or issue a threat, hence she filed a petition in the Delhi court for the grant of an interim order.

The Dwarka District court in Delhi has issued an interim order for the protection of actress and Haryanvi singer Sapna Choudhary who is involved in an incident related to Domestic Violence. The court has restricted Sapna's husband Yashveer Sahu from contacting, coming close to or disrupting Sapna's events, a few days before her upcoming film premier named "Momaku." Court also ordered that if necessary Sapna Choudhary be provided with security.

The order has been issued by Nidhi Singh, Judicial Magistrate First Class of Mahila court upon a plea filed by Sapna Choudhary. While seeking an interim order the petitioner said she was facing domestic violence and feared recurrence of it as the petitioner was forced to leave her husband's joint home because of his behavior and now she is residing at her parents home in Najafgarh.

Sapna fears her husband would create a ruckus

It was submitted by advocate Preeti Singh who represented Sapna Choudhary that she was attending a premier of her film "Momaku" on 10 June 2026 and therefore feared a threat of assaulting or creating public nuisance at the premier by her husband causing irreparable damage to her reputation and professional life. After perusal of the material on record as also photographs showing the injuries, audios, and others, the court found it fit to proceed under Domestic violence act on prima facie basis.

Court instructed to refrain the defendant from doing these things

Accordingly, the Court after hearing both sides instructed the respondent to refrain from making any call, meeting, coming to the house, work place or even a film premiere venue until the next date. Court also barred the respondent from committing acts of domestic violence. A future hearing of the case is scheduled for July 25th.

Instructions given regarding the security

In its decision, the court had ordered the concerned protection officer and theSHOof local police station to carry out the order and provide security to the petitioner whenever required. It was informed that they had filed a marriage affidavit, however, the remaining documents would be filed on the next hearing date.
