December Rule Change: The last month of the year 2024 has started from today. Every month there are some changes related to money. Similarly, some changes have also happened from December 1, which can affect your pocket. These include LPG cylinder prices, OTP scams, income tax returns, SN, and credit card-related rules. Let us know in detail what has changed from today.
Commercial gas cylinders have become expensive.
Government oil companies have increased the price of commercial LPG cylinders. However, there is no change in the price of domestic cooking gas cylinders. According to information received from Indian Oil, the price of a 19 kg LPG cylinder has increased by ₹ 16.50. 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder will now be available in Delhi for ₹ 1818.50. Last month in November itself, the price of this cylinder had increased by ₹ 62. In Kolkata, now the commercial gas cylinder has become ₹ 1927.00. This gas cylinder is available in Mumbai for ₹ 1771.00 and in Chennai for ₹ 1980.50.
income tax return
The Income Tax Department has extended the deadline for filing income tax returns for the financial year 2023-24 by 15 days to December 15. The due date for furnishing income tax returns under section 139(1) of the Income Tax Act, 1961 is November 30 in the case of taxpayers who are required to furnish reports referred to in section 92E. Now the deadline for filing income tax returns has been extended for taxpayers who have international transactions and are required to furnish reports under section 92E.
TRAI’s new rule
Telecom regulator TRAI has issued orders to telecom companies to ensure the source of SMS to curb unwanted calls and messages (spam). These have come into effect from December 1. TRAI has made it mandatory for service providers to ensure the identity of the sender of the message. TRAI has issued this order to curb spam calls and messages.
SBI Credit Card
There has been a change for credit card users as well from December 1. If you use an SBI credit card for transactions related to digital gaming platforms/merchants, then new rules have come into effect for this from today i.e. December 1. According to the information available on SBI Cards, 48 credit cards will no longer give reward points on transactions related to digital gaming platforms/merchants.

If you have to go to the bank branch to get some important work done in December, then first check the list of holidays. In December, banks will remain closed for a total of 17 days in different zones.
free aadhaar update
If you want to update details like photo address in your Aadhaar card, you can do so for free till 14 December. After this, you will have to pay money to get your Aadhaar card details updated. You can update your Aadhaar card details by visiting the My Aadhaar portal.
