With the Celebrity MasterChef grand finale approaching, anticipation is building as the remaining contestants showcase their skills one final time. In the most recent episode, Chef Rahul Rana introduced his signature dish "Shadras"—a complex culinary challenge representing the six traditional tastes: sweet, salty, astringent, bitter, sour, and pungent.
The task required participants to recreate six plates containing a total of 150 detailed elements within a strict 150-minute window. The assignment tested both their technical precision and mental endurance.
Gaurav Khanna's Strategic Play and Unique Challenge
Gaurav Khanna entered the challenge with an advantage from the previous round, which allowed him to seek assistance from Chef Rahul for one element. He wisely chose the sweet potato roasty, a component he found particularly complex.
However, Gaurav also faced an unusual obstacle—his color blindness made it difficult to match the visual details of the vibrant dish. Still, with support from Chef Ranveer Brar and his own persistence, he successfully completed the demanding task.
Faisu’s Steady Performance Pays Off
Faisu, another strong contender, remained calm under pressure. Motivated by judges Farah Khan, Ranveer Brar, and Chef Rahul Rana, he maintained focus and delivered one of his most impressive performances to date.
When the judges announced the results, Chef Vikas Khanna revealed that both finalists had come close to replicating the original dish. However, Faisu edged ahead, successfully matching 16 out of the 22 evaluated elements.
Gaurav Narrowly Misses Hat Trick Victory
Despite not winning the round, Gaurav received praise for his detailed execution. Chef Ranveer acknowledged how close he came to securing a third consecutive win, highlighting the narrow margin that separated the finalists.
The episode underscored the high level of skill and determination both Gaurav and Faisu bring to the table as they prepare for the final showdown.
