FMCG Dividend Alert: Rs 45 per share payout, Record date this week

Procter & Gamble Health Ltd has announced to fix August 27, 2026 as the record date for the company's proposed final dividend of Rs 45 per equity share.

The dividend is subject to the shareholders' approval in the company's 59th Annual General Meeting (AGM), scheduled for September 3, 2026. The company has already recommended the final dividend of Rs 45 per share.

August 27 record date for dividend

Shareholders whose names appear in the company's records as on August 27 will be considered for the proposed final dividend, if it is approved at the AGM.

The company had recommended the Rs 45 per share final dividend at its board meeting held on May 26, 2026. The proposed payout is for the financial year 2025-26. According to the annual report, the proposed final dividend amounts to a total payout of around Rs 74.70 crore.

Rs 205 total dividend for FY26

The Rs 45 final dividend comes after Procter & Gamble Health had already paid an interim dividend of Rs 160 per share during FY26. The interim dividend included a one-time special dividend of Rs 50 per share. It was paid to eligible shareholders on February 27, 2026.

If the proposed final dividend is approved, the company's total dividend for FY26 will stand at Rs 205 per share for the financial year 2025-26.

The annual report shows that there is an increase in dividend paid by the company to shareholders. It paid Rs 340.28 crore in dividends during FY26, compared with Rs 232.40 crore in the previous financial year.

Procter & Gamble Health financial performance

Procter & Gamble Health reported a strong performance in FY26. Revenue from operations stood at Rs 1,407.97 crore, compared with Rs 934.17 crore in the previous financial year. Profit after tax rose to Rs 326.91 crore from Rs 234.41 crore.

The company said sales of products stood at Rs 1,385.12 crore in FY26, while profit before tax was Rs 449.86 crore. Earnings per share increased to Rs 197 from Rs 141 in the previous financial year.

Procter & Gamble Health is known for its portfolio of vitamins, minerals and supplements, including brands such as Neurobion, Livogen, Evion, Seven Seas, Polybion and Nasivion.

Investors should note that the Rs 45 final dividend is not yet final until shareholder approval at the September 3 AGM. The August 27 record date will determine the shareholders eligible for the payment if the proposal is approved.

Shares of Procter & Gamble Health Ltd ended last Friday’s session (August 21) at Rs 5,849.50, up 0.29 per cent or Rs 17 from the previous close. The stock opened at Rs 5,820 and moved between a high of Rs 5,866 and a low of Rs 5,809.50 during the session. At the closing price, the company had a market capitalisation of around Rs 9,710 crore and a price-to-earnings ratio of 30. The stock’s 52-week high stands at Rs 6,975, while its 52-week low is Rs 4,707. Procter & Gamble Health has a dividend yield of 2.65 per cent, with a quarterly dividend of Rs 38.75.
