BJP Delhi Unit Announces 14 New District Presidents, Including Two Women:

Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Najafgarh and South Delhi will be represented by Raj Sharma Gautam and Maya Bisht, respectively, who are now district presidents. This makes them the first woman district presidents in the Delhi BJP’s history.

Mahendra Nagpal, the organisational election officer for Delhi BJP, released the names of the district leaders along with 105 elected members of the Delhi BJP state council. This included the rest of the newly appointed district leaders.

Of the approximately 14 newly appointed district presidents, Maya Bisht and Raj Sharma Gautam were selected, which means they will be the first woman district presidents in the history of Delhi BJP.

While getting ready for the new roles, some of the appointees were on board with the proposed changes. Three were and will remain in the same positions: Vijender Dhama (Mayur Vihar), Deepak Gauba (Shahdara), and Chandrapal Bakshi (West Delhi). Moreover, four others have served in the role before: Arvind Garg, Vinod Sahrawat, Virendra Babbar, and Master Binod Kumar.

This dual appointment marks the first time that two women simultaneously serve as district presidents within the Delhi BJP organization.

This appointment comes shortly after BJP’s return to power in Delhi after 27 years, defeating Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party.

The party has already appointed presidents for 204 Mandal units and is in the process of restructuring the Delhi organization with state-level office bearers assigned next.

The newly elected state council members include noted lawmakers Pawan Sharma, and Kapil Mishra along with ex-minister Kailash Gahlot, Kartar Singh Tanwar, Pradyumn Rajpur, and former MP Ramesh Bidhuri. They are also joined by ex-mayors Subhash Arya, Preeti Agarwal, Sunita Kangra, Sumit Bhasin, and current Delhi BJP dhaampandhitg media chief Praveen Shankar Kapoor.
