New Delhi: Ahead of the assembly elections to be held in various states in the next few months, the Congress made a big change in its national organization and appointed several new and joint secretaries on Friday. Along with this, the party also made changes in the states of responsibility of many officials. According to a press release issued by the party’s general secretary KC Venugopal, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge appointed secretaries and joint secretaries of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) for various states and union territories. These officials will be associated with the party’s general secretaries and in-charges in the respective states.
Pranav Jha, and Gaurav Pandhi were appointed as AICC secretaries
Pranav Jha and Gaurav Pandhi, who are handling coordination responsibilities in the office of the Congress President, have been appointed AICC secretaries. Vineet Punia, who is playing the role of AICC secretary under the party’s communication department, will continue to perform this responsibility, however, Ruchira Chaturvedi has also been appointed secretary in this department along with him. Two former MLAs of Rajasthan, Danish Abrar, have been appointed secretaries for Delhi and Divya Maderna for Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh. Former acting president of All India Mahila Congress Neta D’Souza and former president of NSUI Neeraj Kundan will work as AICC secretaries with the party’s organization general secretary KC Venugopal.
Subhashini Yadav was also made secretary
According to the release, Dheeraj Gurjar, Pradeep Narwal, Rajesh Tiwari and Tauqeer Alam will continue to work as AICC secretaries in Uttar Pradesh as before. Subhashini Yadav, daughter of former Union Minister late Sharad Yadav, has also been appointed as Secretary. Deepika Pandey Singh, minister in the Jharkhand government, has been relieved of the responsibility of Secretary. Rajya Sabha member Ranjit Ranjan, who was co-in-charge of Himachal Pradesh as Secretary, has also been relieved of this responsibility. Uttarakhand Assembly member Qazi Nizamuddin will continue to be the secretary, although he has been made co-in-charge of Maharashtra instead of Rajasthan.
