If it is not possible for a brother and sister to meet, then do this puja 

• If the sister is not able to meet her brother on the day of Bhaiya Dooj, then she must also perform the Bhaiya Dooj Puja according to the rituals. For this, first of all, the sister should wake up before sunrise take a bath, and meditate. 
• After this, the place of worship in the house should also be cleaned. It is not considered right to worship on this day without cleaning the place of worship. 
• You should bring coconut shells for the number of brothers you have. 
• After this, you should spread a yellow or red colored cloth on the stool in the place of worship in the house. You should keep the balls on this stool. 
• After this, the ball should be bathed with Gangajal, and rice, flowers, etc. should be offered on it. After this, the sisters should apply tilak to the ball with Roli and rice. 
• After applying tilak, offering sweets, and considering the ball as the form of a brother, perform his aarti. 
• At the end of the puja, cover the balls with a red cloth and pray to Yamraj for the long life of your brother. 
• You can pick up these balls from the place of worship the next day. 
• If possible, you should ask your brother to deliver this ball to you.

In the year 2024, there is 2 hours and 12 minutes to apply tilak to the brother on Bhaiya Dooj. On November 3, sisters can apply tilak from 1:10 pm to 3:22 pm, this is considered to be the most auspicious time for tilak. Keep in mind that, even by mistake, never apply tilak to the brother after sunset on Bhaiya Dooj, doing so is not considered auspicious.
