According to a report , workers at an infrastructure development site in Uttarakhand’s Badrinath were buried under snow due to a glacier outburst on Friday,  while 16 of them have been rescued and efforts are still ongoing to save the others. 

The report mentions the people rescue have reportedly been working for a private contractor of a road construction company. 

So now that all together there stands the number of 41 rescuers that are buried under the snow, Army along with police team are in the region to help out in the search. 

Chamoli district magistrate Sandeep Tiwari had already said in relation to snow alerts that He also issued an Orange alert during heavy rainfall and snowfall of that region and this surely wouldn’t have changed.

He had said that the higher altitude regions like Badrinath Dham and regions like Malari and Auli are receiving heavy snow while other tehsils continue to receive unabated rainfall.
