- The child’s birth certificate is necessary  
- One parent's Aadhaar card qualifies as another given document that should be availabe   
- Lastly the address proof in form of an Aadhaar or utility/electricity bill, bank statement, ration card etc.  
 
Online Procedure to acquire Aadhaar Card For Children  
Step 1. Log onto the UIDAI Website https:/uidai.gov.in  
Step 2. Locate the 'Book Aadhar Appointment' section and select the best suited aadhar booking center.  
Step 3. A parent or guardian should go the center with the documents and the child.   
Step 4. The child's photograph will be captured. All biometric data for a child below five years will not be capture  
Step 5. A few days are necessary for the voucher/check/Aadhaar Card to be processed but after this period it can be accessed online or will arrive in the mail.

Aadhaar must be revised again after the age of 5 years and then at 15 years:  

After the age of 5 years: A child’s fingerprints and eye scans are taken.

At 15 years: Updated biometrics ensures that the identification remains relevant and precise.
