Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Australia has strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, and reiterated its unwavering support for India's firm stance against terrorism. The sentiments were conveyed by Australian High Commissioner to India, Philip Green, during an address in New Delhi.

Speaking at an event organized by the Ananta Aspen Centre, High Commissioner Green began his remarks by extending condolences on behalf of Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi following the tragic incident in Pahalgam, which resulted in injuries to two tourists.

Green emphasized Australia's "zero tolerance" policy towards terrorism, stating unequivocally that terrorism, in all its forms and manifestations, is unacceptable and cannot be justified. He underscored that Australia stands in solidarity with India in combating this global menace.

Beyond the immediate condemnation and condolences, the High Commissioner highlighted the burgeoning strategic partnership between India and Australia. He pointed to the multifaceted nature of their bilateral relationship, which encompasses robust defence cooperation, expanding economic ties—particularly in areas like critical minerals and education—and collaboration within multilateral frameworks such as the QUAD.

The High Commissioner's statements serve as a powerful affirmation of the deepening ties and shared democratic values between the two nations, especially in addressing common security challenges like terrorism and working towards a stable and prosperous Indo-Pacific region.
