Asia U20 Athletics championship 2026: Rahul Jakhar secures gold medal in the Asia U-20 decathlon
Suspense Crime, Digital Desk : The story of 18 year old Rahul Jakhar from Gujarat's Valsad district has emerged from Charwada village, making history by bagging the gold medal in the decathlon event in the 22nd Asia U-20 (Under-20) Athletics Championship in Hong Kong(China). He achieved the winning score with a total of 7,185 points after participating in all ten gruelling events in the competition and also established the India's U-20 new national record. This win is an accomplishment not only for Rahul Jakhar but also for the country. He is the top ranked Asian U-20 decathlete, securing a spot amongst the top 8 in the global list. He shared that he is thankful to his coaches for their support and guidance in his life and that Gujarat government has helped every athelete by providing excellent facilities and oppurtunities. "My aim is to represent India in Commonwealth Games and Olympics in coming years, I will continue my hard work," stated Rahul.
