In a country where padayatras hold deep cultural and spiritual significance, Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Mukesh Ambani, has set out on a foot journey inspired by tradition and devotion. On March 29, he began walking from Jamnagar to the Dwarkadhish Temple in Dwarka, covering a distance of 180 kilometers.
Anant walks nearly 20 kilometers each day, for around 6 to 7 hours. His aim is to reach the sacred temple by April 8, just a day before his 30th birthday.
Devotion Over Display
This padayatra is not for publicity. It is a personal act of faith. Anant sees it as a way to connect with Lord Krishna and follow the values of Sanatan Dharma. His journey reflects personal discipline and quiet devotion, not attention-seeking.
Walking Despite Health Challenges
What stands out about this pilgrimage is that Anant is undertaking it despite facing major health issues. He lives with Cushing’s Syndrome, a rare hormonal disorder, as well as chronic obesity, asthma, and serious lung disease. Still, he chose to walk every step.
Public Support and Spiritual Encouragement
As he makes his way to Dwarka, Anant has been welcomed by many along the way. People have joined his walk, prayed for him, and shared devotional items in honor of the temple he is heading toward.
Two noted spiritual leaders—Dhirendra Shastri of Bageshwar Dham and Rasraj Maharaj of the Pushtimarg tradition—also joined him briefly during the walk, offering blessings and encouragement.
Faith in Every Step
During his padayatra, Anant spends time in prayer, regularly reciting the Hanuman Chalisa, the Sundarkand, and other sacred hymns. His connection to spirituality has always been strong, and this journey reflects that deeply.
A Life of Religious Commitment
Anant frequently visits major temples across India. He has supported restoration work at the Kalighat Temple in Kolkata, the Shrinathji Temple in Nathdwara, and the Kamakhya Temple in Assam. He also donated during the Mahakumbh festival and serves as a trustee for Badrinath and Kedarnath temples.
A Personal Path in a Noisy World
With only a few aides and mentors by his side, Anant’s journey is personal and introspective. In an age full of distractions, his quiet, determined walk shows the value of inner strength and faith.
Message to a Generation
This walk is not just about tradition or ritual. It is about choosing purpose and peace every day. Anant Ambani’s padayatra offers a message of dedication and resilience to a younger generation looking for deeper meaning in today’s fast-paced world.
