Anant Ambani, non-executive director of Reliance Industries, completed a 170-kilometre padyatra (spiritual walk) from Jamnagar to Dwarkadhish Temple on Sunday. His journey concluded with temple darshan on the occasion of Ram Navami, aligning spiritual significance with personal devotion.
Speaking after completing the trek, Anant expressed his blessings and gratitude:
“I extend my best wishes to all on the occasion of Ram Navami. I had the darshan of Dwarkadhish, and with this, my padyatra is now complete.”
Nita Ambani Praises Son’s Devotion and Cultural Spirit
Nita Ambani, Founder-Chairperson of Reliance Foundation and Anant’s mother, expressed her deep pride in her son’s dedication.
“As a mother, it is a proud moment to see Anant complete this padyatra to the divine Dwarkadhish Temple,” she shared with the media.
She also recognized the cultural contribution of the young participants:
“For the last 10 days, the youth who joined Anant have helped spread Indian culture. I only pray to Lord Dwarkadhish to keep giving strength to Anant.”
Walk Highlights: Daily Progress, Security & Spiritual Guests
Anant began the padyatra on March 29, covering roughly 20 kilometres each day, often walking overnight. The spiritual journey was undertaken with tight Z+ security arrangements.
On April 4, he was joined by spiritual leader Bageshwar Baba (Acharya Dhirendra Shastri), who walked barefoot with Anant's convoy. This added a significant spiritual aspect to the already symbolic pilgrimage.
Radhika Merchant Marks Birthday Milestone
Radhika Merchant, Anant's wife, reflected on the significance of completing the padyatra on his 30th birthday.
“This was Anant’s wish—to complete the padyatra after our wedding. Today, we feel proud to be celebrating his birthday with Lord Dwarkadhish’s blessings. I’m thankful to everyone who supported him in this journey.”
