Suspense crime, Digital Desk : The Charkop Police in Mumbai have registered a rape case against actor Ajaz Khan after an actress accused him of sexually assaulting her on the guise of a marriage proposal. The case was registered with several sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) which comprises of sections 64, 64(2)(M), 69, and 74.

His OTT project “House Arrest” was a reputed project under his banner, and he had earlier assured her of several other chances at fame strategically placed at different points of her career in Bollywood,” said the actress in her statements. The claim states that during the production, he purportedly also advanced marriage and made many other proposals. The actress mentioned that on March 25, at his home, he forcibly had sexual relations with her promising to wed her.

In supporting the claim, the complainant said that he executed his offence on the grounds that his religion permits multiple marriages and claimed that he would assume responsibility for her. A claim that was equally troubling was her receiving physical violence from him a few days after that episode.

In another complaint by Gautam Ravriya, who is part of Bajrang Dal, Khan became the target along with producers Rajkumar Pandey and several others of the reality web series House Arrest which is available on Ullu App. Mumbai Police has also arrested these men after receiving the complaint.

The exact words of the FIR spoke of the show’s explicit content, especially of a viral clip where Ajaz Khan beckoned his female participants to assume positions of a sexual nature. The video caused an uproar and condemnation from elected leaders as well as from ordinary social media users.

Netizens were enraged, igniting changes to be made within the show. Aliah Nadifar noted the show was executed with no regard for basic ethical decorum.

In regard to those presumed to be guilty of these shameful acts, severe punishment commensurate with the gravity of the crime—and ranging up to its most extreme, life imprisonment—is possible.
