Action against DCP for not being able to control traffic in Noida, notice to 3 police officers including ACP

Noida: Noida DCP Traffic Yamuna Prasad was removed on Wednesday after lapses in traffic management during the CPHI and PMEC India 2024 exhibition going on at Expo Mart in Greater Noida. He has been attached to the police line. Action has been taken against Yamuna Prasad for negligence in managing the traffic and not following the protocol properly.  

Notice issued to these police officers

Gautam Budh Nagar Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh ordered the transfer of the Traffic DCP due to negligence in handling traffic, failure to follow protocols, and poor coordination during the pharmaceutical trade show. Apart from this, notices have also been issued to Greater Noida ACP (traffic) Pawan Kumar, traffic inspector Praful Shrivastav,  and Knowledge Park police station in-charge Vipin Kumar for their role in traffic mismanagement. Sanjay Kumar Bishnoi has been posted as Greater Noida ACP Traffic.

Actin was n taken when traffic arrangements got worse

An official from the traffic police, on condition of anonymity, said that the traffic arrangements were overwhelmed due to the increased number of visitors to the trade show and CPhI and PMEC India 2024 exhibition. We have made all the arrangements and deployed additional force to prevent any crowd. The parking of Expo Mart was also almost full. The situation worsened due to pick and drop, taxis, and peak hour traffic. It is alleged that the response of DCP Traffic was not good. 

People were stuck ina road jam.

Let us tell you that the trade show, CPh, I, and PMEC India 2024 exhibition will run till November 29 at the Expo Mart. The complaints of passengers had increased due to congestion on the surrounding roads including the Greater Noida Expressway. Officials said that the traffic jam situation persisted from 11 am to evening on Wednesday. It is being told that the passengers had to be stuck in the jam for a long time.
