
The chief priest of Ram Temple in Ayodhya Acharya Satyendra Das was hospitalized because his health unexpectedly worsened. Doctors have determined that the patient suffers from brain hemorrhage which doctors assess is life-threatening. Das became ill and received urgent hospital admission to Shri Ram Hospital in Ayodhya through the emergency department around 7 pm due to blood pressure issues before the medical staff sent him to the Trauma Centre and finally to City Neuro Care Hospital in Lucknow for advanced care.
Results from the CT scan indicated blood clots throughout 17 different locations while showing a serious brain haemorrhage.
What did the doctor say?
The Neuro Centre doctor Dr Arun Kumar Singh declared Acharya Das in critical condition when he brought him to the facility. Further medical care in Lucknow became necessary because of his severe condition following preliminary treatment.

At the beginning of April 1992 Das received his appointment to lead the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple as its main priest. Acharya Das took part in leading the religious worship of Ram Lalla statue at the tent after the demolition of the Babri Masjid that occurred on December 6, 1992. After the temporary temple received Ram Lalla from the original tent facility in 2020 Acharya Das maintained his role as the chief priest of the temple. The present occupation of Acharya Satyendra Das is serving as the main priest of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
Prime Minister Modi conducted the idol consecration ceremony of Lord Ram at Ayodhya's temple on January 22. Adivrihasra Dixit belongs to the list of eminent scholars in Varanasi while maintaining his roots as a Solapur native from Maharashtra. His family traces its lineage through the generations to Varanasi.
Health deteriorated in October 2024 too
His health declined during October of that year until he had to enter patient care at the Sanjay Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (PGI). Dr. Prakash Chandra Pandey supervised Acharya Das's treatment at his private hospital room in PGI Neurology Ward. At that time Professor RK Dhiman who served as the Institute's Director declared Acharya might have a neurological condition.
At the age of 86 Acharya Laxmikant Dixit who carried out the Ram temple temple dedication in Ayodhya passed away in June 2024. Family members reported that Dixit showed poor health during his recent days before his death. His death ceremony took place at Manikarnika Ghat in Varanasi.
