Just three days after the wedding, Neelam Upadhyaya surprised her followers with an Instagram video. She revealed that she developed blisters on her body and explained the cause behind it. According to her, the reaction occurred after applying turmeric (haldi) on her collarbone during the wedding rituals.
Neelam shared that after applying turmeric, she stepped out in the sun, which triggered the allergic reaction. She is now experiencing burning sensations and pain due to the blisters.
Blisters Despite a Patch Test
Neelam mentioned that she conducted a patch test before the turmeric ceremony to check for any reactions. However, despite this precaution, her skin reacted adversely. On February 10, 2025, she posted the video on her Instagram story, asking followers for home remedies and solutions to ease the discomfort.
Following her post, social media users began discussing similar turmeric-related allergies, with many suggesting natural remedies to help soothe her skin condition.
