Bhopal: The matter of burning of Union Carbide's waste in Pithampura, Madhya Pradesh has reached the Supreme Court. A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court regarding this matter. The petition demands a ban on taking the waste from Bhopal to Pithampura and burning it there. The petition states that the people of Pithampura were not consulted while taking the decision to take Union Carbide's waste from Bhopal to Pithampura. There may be a risk of radiation in Pithampura. If this happens there, then proper medical facilities are not available in Pithampura. The Supreme Court will hear this petition tomorrow.

The people of Pithampur are protesting

Actually, there is a ruckus in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh regarding the disposal of chemical waste of Union Carbide factory. As per the Supreme Court's instructions, the government has sent the waste there and now preparations are underway for its disposal. Meanwhile, a large number of people of Pithampur are opposing it. People say that this waste should be burnt at some other place. At the same time, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has appealed to the people not to believe the rumours and said that what the government is doing is in the interest of all. During this, he also targeted Congress leaders in gestures.

CM appeals not to pay heed to rumours

CM Mohan Yadav had said that those in whose tenure the gas tragedy happened 40 years ago are still not refraining from spreading misconceptions. Wrong information is being spread on the basis of ignorance, what can I do if someone spreads false information for vote politics. I will condemn it and they should be saved from it. Now a petition has been filed in the Supreme Court regarding this matter, which is to be heard on Monday.
