Former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen has publicly criticized a well-known British journalist for defending England’s lack of practice during their India tour. Pietersen took to social media to express his displeasure, targeting the journalist who had attributed England’s minimal training to injuries and a packed schedule. Known for his outspoken nature, Pietersen did not hold back in his remarks.

Pietersen’s Strong Reaction on Social Media

On his social media platform (X), Pietersen shared, "I just received an article where a well-known British journalist claims that Ravi Shastri and I have wrongly questioned England’s training regimen during the India tour. According to him, injuries and a hectic schedule are to blame." However, Pietersen dismissed this explanation and continued to criticize the journalist's stance.

Training Controversy Sparks Debate

Pietersen further wrote, "Do me a favor! If you are going to write such nonsense about cricket, stop writing. Injuries are part of the game, and every bilateral series follows a similar schedule. Injuries do not prevent batsmen from facing net bowlers or refining their skills against spin. This is exactly where they needed improvement! Believe me, training against spin saved my career!"

Accusing the Journalist of Misleading Fans

Pietersen also accused the journalist of misleading cricket fans. He wrote, "It seems this journalist is deliberately trying to manipulate public opinion! You can't deceive the fans like this!"

Earlier, Pietersen had openly criticized England’s approach, calling their lack of preparation in India "shocking." He highlighted that after losing the first ODI and T20 series, the team did not conduct a single practice session, which he believes significantly impacted their performance.
