Akhilesh Yadav quickly accused police officers of document verification on voters yet Ayodhya Police proved his allegations wrong by verifying they checked candidate agents' IDs instead of voter IDs. According to the shown photograph the booth agent's identification card displays the person who holds the position of candidate's representative. Authorities validated this person's identity through checking his official identification. The officers urged people through social media not to engage in deceptive tweet behavior.
During his conversation with the media Akhilesh Yadav asserted that law enforcement agents verified voting identification documents. The X post from Yadav called for the Election Commission to sanction those responsible in this incident.
Officials at the Election Commission must examine immediately the photographs of Ayodhya police officers conducting voter ID card identification processes in Milkipur while senior police personnel participate. Such manipulation of voting through voter intimidation qualifies as a democratic crime that violates democratic election standards. According to Akhilesh Yadav the involved personnel should face immediate firing and appropriate disciplinary measures should be enforced.

The BJP views this by-election as essential due to its high-level prestige factor which has forced voters to seek retaliation for the recent defeat.
The seat became vacant after Samajwadi Party MP Awadhesh Prasad won in the last year's Lok Sabha election for Faizabad (Ayodhya).
The BJP makes a determined push to regain this parliamentary seat because it aims to save its moral authority and increase its political power in the area. This battle between the BJP and the SP now represents an intense power struggle because both parties dedicate everything they have for victory.
The voting results in this seat will be determined by the 370,829 Scheduled Castes (SC)-reserved constituents yet the main rivalry centers on Samajwadi Party nominee Ajit Prasad versus the BJP candidate Chandrabhanu Paswan.
