Meerut News (Paras Goyal): As Mahashivratri approaches, preparations are in full swing across Shivalayas, with temples getting ready to welcome a massive influx of devotees eager to seek Lord Shiva's blessings. In Meerut, special arrangements have been made for the grand celebration, but visitors must adhere to a strict dress code to enter certain temples on this sacred occasion.

A special directive has been issued by Mahant Radhika Nand Brahmachari, stating that entry into the sanctum sanctorum of Tripur Sundar Rajrajeshwar Mahadev Temple will be permitted only to those dressed in traditional attire. Men must wear dhoti-kurta, while women can enter only in sarees. Those wearing modern clothing such as jeans or trousers will not be allowed to participate in the temple rituals.

This rule has been implemented to uphold ancient traditions and ensure worship aligns with scriptural guidelines. The Rajrajeshwari Temple, where the Sphatik Shivling (crystal Shiva Linga) is worshipped, was established by Shankaracharya Brahmalin Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati Maharaj. Following this sacred lineage, the temple authorities have reinforced traditional practices for Mahashivratri.

The festival will be marked by Rudrabhishek, a special night-long ritual where devotees will offer Belpatra, milk, curd, honey, and Gangajal to Lord Shiva. The temple premises will echo with devotional bhajans and kirtans, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere throughout the night.

Mahant Radhika Nand Brahmachari has urged devotees to respect the dress code, emphasizing that following these sacred traditions enhances the purity of worship. As thousands of devotees gather to celebrate Mahashivratri, the temple is set to become a hub of divine energy and unwavering faith, drawing people from near and far to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva and Mother Jagadamba.
