A China manufactured drone has been found in the Bhopal Jail On Wednesday and it raises concerns regarding drone and security issues at the prison. The fact that a Chinese-made drone goes undetected in a high security prison makes the point of overall risk analysis and care very critical. The NDTV reported about the drone and the news confirms that it remained there for a week without being discovered.
A CCTV Operator who was on the duty near the B block where the drone was located reported that the drone is not only lightweight, but was also located near what is referred to as “anda cell” which sounds more like eggs, which is used to describe a unique type of living quarters for highly dangerous these could be related to terrorists or other anti national criminal activities.
Speaking to the media, he stated a security personnel stationed closed to the B block of the jail spotted a black drone whose model and make was identified. One of the report retrieved by the RTV claimed that a remotely piloted drone made in China which was 30 to 40 gm was located between the hours of 3:30pm to 4 pm.
NDTV has quoted Rakesh Kumar admitting, “There was a misunderstanding and on that account the guard might not have seen the drone.” With regard to the officials, the device has two cameras further the doctor who bought it for his son has asserted this device. There are over 65 terrorists linked to the Student’s Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) in the Bhopal central jail which has an area of 151 acres.
