The ODI three-game series opposes India against England before their upcoming start. The BCCI introduced a new ODI jersey for the men's team at its centre of operations. The production of a completely new jersey introduced the Indian flag colors as its major design element.
The ODI series commencement between India and England will take place at the VCA Stadium in Nagpur on Thursday February 6. The Indian ODI team will utilize this jersey both in the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025 format alongside the England series.
Indian female cricketers used the new kit during their ODI matches against Ireland in January 2025. The BCCI published photos of the players in their new jersey through their social media channels. Multiple cricket stars such as Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer along with other players appeared in photos while wearing the new kit assortment. The photoshoot for the new jersey excluded skipper Rohit Sharma alongside Jasprit Bumrah from its participants.
New jersey colors will serve as a potential source of good fortune for the Indian cricket team known as the Men in Blue. The Indian national cricket team achieved victory in the T20 World Cup 2024 and has since faced difficulties mostly during Test matches. During the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 against Australia and their following matches against New Zealand the Indian cricket team delivered only one victory in a seven-game stretch.
