The second phase of the Green Corridor project in Lucknow is advancing swiftly. Once completed, it will ensure seamless traffic movement from IIM Road to Samtamulk Chauraha without obstructions.
Inspection and Review of Construction Work
The Housing Commissioner inspected the project site and assessed the ongoing construction. He found the progress satisfactory and commended the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) officials for their efforts.
Phase 1 Achievements
Completed widening of the embankment from IIM Road to Pucca Pul.
Construction of a 4-lane road and Gau Ghat Bridge completed.
Traffic flow significantly improved on this route.
Key Projects Under Phase 2
Flyover from Pakka Pul to Daliganj
Length: 1.8 km
Cost: ₹210 crore
Current Status: 30% work completed
Benefit: Enhanced connectivity for city residents
Bridge at Hanuman Setu
Length: 240 meters (2-lane)
Cost: ₹27 crore
Current Status: 50% work completed
Benefit: Reduced traffic congestion and easier movement
Bridge at Nishatganj
Length: 210 meters (4-lane)
Cost: ₹49 crore
Current Status: 65% work completed
Benefit: Improved traffic flow
Bridge on Kukrail River
Length: 240 meters (4-lane)
Cost: ₹50 crore
Current Status: 60% work completed
Benefit: Smoother traffic movement
Additionally, a tender has been issued for constructing a 330-meter-long 4-lane bridge from Kukrail Bridge to Baikunth Dham.
Housing Commissioner's Directives
The Housing Commissioner instructed officials to complete all projects within the stipulated time to provide better road infrastructure for residents.
Expansion of IT City in Vrindavan Yojna
Development efforts are also focused on IT City expansion in Vrindavan Yojna, Sector-15. This area is planned to be a future hub for technology and business.
Commitment to Quality and Future Planning
The Housing Commissioner emphasized maintaining quality standards in all development projects. Discussions were also held on future infrastructure plans and urban expansion.
