As per The National Center for Seismology (NCS), an earthquake occured in Bay of Bengal at 5.1 on the richter scale on Tuesday. The earthquake occured at 6:10 AM at a depth of 91 km. The epicenter was located at latitude 19.52°N and longitude 88.55°E.
Perhaps the most concerning aspect of this tremor is that no reports of major injury or damage have been made out of West Bengal and Odisha, despite the region suffering quite a bit of need tremors.
